Este projeto consistiu num exercício pessoal de design com um briefing proposto por uma colega de trabalho. O intuito era sair da nossa zona de conforto ao ter de criar o design de uma embalagem de vinyl para um artista que não nos fosse familiar. Assim sendo, agarrei o desafio de desenvolver este trabalho investigando as origens, os trajetos e as dinâmicas deste grupo musical proveniente da Coreia do Sul intitulado "New Jeans". Caraterizadas pela reapropriação de um estilo que vem a ser tendência nos últimos anos, parte da estética desta girls band tem como base o conceito y2k (Year 2000) utilizando materiais, objetos e designs provenientes do início do século.

This project consisted of a personal design exercise with a brief proposed by a co-worker. The aim was to get out of our comfort zone when having to create the design of a vinyl packaging for an artist we were unfamiliar with. Therefore, I took on the challenge of developing this work by investigating the origins, trajectories and dynamics of this musical group from South Korea called "New Jeans". Characterized by the reappropriation of a style that has become a trend in recent years, part of this girl band's aesthetic is based on the y2k (Year 2000) concept using materials, objects and designs from the beginning of the century.
